Principal Engineer – HVAC
We are building a centre of excellence for the built environment; a team of people passionate about environmental design, building physics, data analytics, and sustainability. This role involves technical assistance for electrical design for all building typologies.
Heat load calculation using HAP software.
HVAC Calculations, Pump head calculations and External Static Pressure calculations.
Design compliant with NBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, ISHRAE & other local & international code.
HVAC Project space planning, concept, schematic, detail designing & GFC.
Preparation of Design Basis Report & presentation to stakeholders.
Check own HVAC designs deliverables and also able to check design prepared within own team and other groups within area of expertise.
Preparation of Tender documents, BOQ, measurement sheet etc.
Realistically estimate pricing associated with projects within their area of expertise.
Review of documents/drawing prepared by engineer/designer and ensure compliance from all respects in line with contractual or relevant standards before issue.
Support others in feasibility studies and prepare reports for sustainability options.
Understanding of liaison requirement and Third parties and specialist system suppliers and incorporate their requirements in the detail design.
Assist the Draftsman to prepare the drawings & providing training to HVAC Team.
Checking the HVAC/MEP coordination drawings & Coordination with Electrical , PHE FF & sustainability team, MEP team & drafting team.
Work as a SPOC / MEP Coordinator on the projects as per requirement & attending meeting with Architect, Structural consultant, client & PMC.
Standardisation of HVAC Master documents & Commercial management.
Coordination with suppliers.
Review & approval of technical submittals & shop drawings.
Administration of HVAC & MEP project execution activities.
Review and certification of Handing over documents and as built layouts.
Must possess with 12-14 years of professional experience in HVAC system design.
Should have flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines and can be relied on to meet deadlines.
Should be committed to both their work and personal development, with a willingness to widen their experience and knowledge base.
Must possess professional English language skills (written and verbal).
Should be able to communicate clearly with team members.
Should have knowledge of software’s such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP.
Should be able to work in a team and support, mentor and develop Design Engineers & Technician.
