Position:
Senior Architect / Engineer – Green Buildings
Role:
We are building a center of excellence for the built environment; a team of people passionate about environmental design, building physics, data analytics, and sustainability. This role involves certification management and technical assistance for sustainable design, construction, and operations. The Senior Analyst will have a clear understanding of the workflow, the tools and processes employed, and the defined deliverables. The position requires tackling innovative design, emerging technologies, and complex project teams. This is a position for someone who can synergistically work with our in-house MEPF team to achieve the highest sustainability performance for buildings across sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect/engineer to join our team to work on some of the most exciting sustainability design projects. Working under the guidance and supervision of more experienced staff, you will assist in the development of energy and sustainable strategies for both new and existing buildings.
Qualification:
- Education to bachelor’s or master’s (preferred) level in engineering/architecture
- Professionals accredited to the level of IGBC AP/LEED AP/ WELL AP/GRIHA CP/TRUE Advisor/Edge Expert are preferred
- Minimum 3-4 years of work experience in the Green Building Certification and Compliance
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of building performance simulation software such as IES VE/Design Builder/Rhino + Grasshopper Tools
- Well-versed with Indian building codes and standards
- Building performance simulation as per ASHRAE 90.1-2010/13/16/19/22 and ECBC – 2017
- Daylight performance and glare simulation as per IGBC, GRIHA, LEED and WELL Building Standard
- Thermal comfort simulation as per ASHRAE Std. 55
- Optimization and sensitivity analysis of various building performance variables
- Communicate sustainability goals and progress with clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Prepare reports with recommendations for enhanced building performance
- Manage multiple projects independently and support senior team members on complex assignments.
- Manage and mentor the analyst team to ensure technical accuracy.
- Ability to develop a roadmap for net-zero operational carbon and embodied carbon design
- Undertaking gap analysis for various green building and health & and wellbeing certification schemes to identify the most sustainable pathway
- Cost-benefit analysis of various green building and health & wellbeing certification schemes
- Whole building life cycle assessment, net zero water and net zero waste
- Climate change adaptation strategies for buildings
